Jackson State Community College (JSCC) was established as the first community college in West Tennessee in 1967. With almost 5,000 students, JSCC has one of the largest enrollments of any college in Jackson.

JSCC serves a 14-county area with satellite campuses in Jackson, Humboldt, Lexington, and Savannah. The college has agreements with the Tennessee Technology Centers (TTC) to offer classes at their facilities in Paris, McKenzie and the Brownsville extension of the TTC Whiteville.
