The Chuck Rainey Experience: A Black History Month Salute to a Living Lane Music Legend

Chuck Rainey attended Lane College the fall of 1959 through the spring semester of 1960. He went on to have a successful career in music as a highly sought-after electric bass player who worked with an endless list of iconic artists including Michael Jackson, Louis Armstrong, Barbara Streisand, Marvin Gaye, Paul Simon, Bette Midler, Quincy Jones, Ringo Starr and Aretha Franklin. Rainey is a 2019 inductee to the Lane College Alumni Hall of Distinction. In observance of Black History month, Rainey returns to the Lane Campus to share his keys to success in the entertainment industry and in life.
