3:30 - 7am

Pinson Mounds

The Camp will help children build a better relationship with the great outdoors and have fun while learning. Some topics that may be covered are the following: Safety, Archaeology, Reptiles & Amphibians, History of the park, Animals, and Plants. Programs will include various hikes, games, crafts, and a tour of the grounds.

Junior Ranger campers need to wear sturdy shoes for hiking. Campers should apply sunscreen before arrival and bring extra sunscreen, bug spray, and a small backpack to carry items in. Insect repellent and a camera are also recommended. Some snacks and water will be provided during the camp, but campers are encouraged to bring their own favorite snack. Due to COVID-19, campers will have to bring a facemask with them to wear during some activities.

There will be a graduation Ceremony for all Jr. Rangers that complete the course. The ceremony will be held at the Playground Picnic Shelter Friday at 10:30 am. Families are welcome to attend. After, Jr. Rangers are encouraged to show their families around that park. The Atlatl course will be left up for Jr. Rangers to show off their new skills!

Junior Ranger Camp is limited to the first 15 campers to be registered. Registration fees should be paid by calling the park office at 731-988-5614.
