Discovery Park of America

Celebrate the Fourth of July with Thomas Jefferson, Samuel Adams, Betsy Ross, James Madison and John Stow this year at Discovery Park of America. Activities are scheduled all day that are not only fun and entertaining, but also educational and inspiring. The mission of Discovery Park of America is to inspire children and adults to see beyond. And thus, we bring to you Life, Liber-Tea, and the Pursuit of Seeing Beyond this Independence Day.

While visiting Discovery Park on July 4, experience Colonial Era history in a unique way. Living historians in period clothing are set up around the park to share their knowledge and present audience-engaging programs. Stop by Liberty Hall to talk with Betsy Ross about the American flag; get riled-up with Samuel Adams in the Chapel as he declares his opposition of the British tax and the Boston Tea Party; talk with John Pass and John Stow about the Liberty Bell; talk politics with James Madison, the author of the U.S. Constitution; and of course, chat with one of the authors of the Declaration of Independence, Thomas Jefferson.

Fourth of July is the day we celebrate our freedom in America. These events are created to continue to educate children and adults about our country's history. All of these events are free with park admission. Members are free.
